Mr. Ashutosh Gupta is a seasoned energy sector professional with nearly three decades of extensive experience in engineering, operations, infrastructure development, and strategic leadership within Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil), a Fortune 500 company.

He is presently serving as Executive Director and State Head, Punjab State Office, based at Chandigarh, where he leads IndianOil’s operations across the states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, as well as the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir, Leh & Ladakh, and Chandigarh- regions of significant strategic and operational sensitivity.

Mr. Gupta joined IndianOil in 1997 as an Engineering Officer and has since built a distinguished career across the LPG value chain. In his early years, he was closely involved in the development and commissioning of critical LPG infrastructure, including grassroots bottling plants and storage facilities. Over time, he assumed increasing responsibilities in plant operations, logistics planning, and engineering project execution, including leadership roles as Plant Manager at multiple LPG bottling plants.

He has played a pivotal role in LPG infrastructure expansion at a national scale, contributing to the planning and execution of 17 new bottling plants, 2 LPG import terminals, and conceptualization of the landmark Kandla–Gorakhpur LPG pipeline, significantly enhancing India’s energy distribution capabilities.
Between 2018 and 2022, Mr. Gupta served in the Secretariat of Director (Marketing) at IndianOil, where he functioned in a key advisory capacity. This role provided him with comprehensive exposure to corporate strategy, supply chain management, and petroleum marketing operations, working closely with top leadership on high-impact business decisions.

Subsequently, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of IndianOil Petronas Private Limited (IPPL), Kolkata, a joint venture company, where he led the organization from 2022 to 2025. During his tenure, he was instrumental in driving business growth, new business development initiatives, and organizational performance enhancement.

Academically, Mr. Gupta holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, and an MBA in Marketing from R.A. Poddar Institute of Management.

Known for his positive disposition, execution focus, and strong leadership orientation, Mr. Gupta has consistently demonstrated the ability to manage complex operations and lead high-performing teams across diverse functional domains.

As Director on the board, he brings to the onboard a rich blend of technical expertise, strategic insight, and leadership experience, contributing effectively to governance and value creation for the joint venture.
